Leeds Rhinos boosted by key returnee for Super League clash with Catalans

Leeds Rhinos have been boosted by the return of hooker Brad Dwyer to their 21-man squad for Thursday night's Super League clash with Catalans Dragons.

Dwyer has completed a one-match suspension and is named in Richard Agar's squad as the Rhinos look to win their first match of the new season at the third attempt.

They remain without a number of other key figures, including Richie Myler, who has been ruled out for three months with injury.

Harry Newman is also still unavailable, as is David Fusitu'a, while Rhyse Martin remains in Australia on compassionate grounds following the death of his father.

That has left Agar with a depleted squad just three rounds into the new season, with youngsters Tom Holroyd, Sam Walters and Muizz Mustapha are also unavailable. Dwyer's return gives Leeds a significant boost, however.

Blake Austin is in line to make his competitive home debut for the Rhinos, having come through his debut at Wigan Warriors last Friday. Austin was suspended for Leeds' opening home match of the season against Warrington, but he will almost certainly partner Aidan Sezer in the halves against Steve McNamara's side.

Leeds Rhinos 21-man squad: Jack Walker, Liam Sutcliffe, Ash Handley, Blake Austin, Aidan Sezer, Mikolaj Oledzki, Kruise Leeming, Matt Prior, Zane Tetevano, Brad Dwyer, Alex Mellor, Cameron Smith, Bodene Thompson, Tom Briscoe, Morgan Gannon, Jack Broadbent, Jarrod O'Connor, James Donaldson, Corey Johnson, Max Simpson, Liam Tindall.
