Kozhikode
The Kerala model of governance being implemented by the Left Democratic Front government is being projected as an alternative across the country, P.A. Mohamed Riyas, Minister for Public Works, has said.
He was here on Monday to open the Kozhikode district conference of the DYFI. Mr. Riyas said that Leftist youth organisations should be involved in the campaign.
A.A. Rahim, national president, DYFI, claimed that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was trying to create a monolithic Hindu Rashtra in the country. “They are trying to implement ‘one nation, one language, and one culture’ theory here. In Hindi, they call it ‘Hindu-Hindi-Hindustan’. Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent statement that every non-Hindi speaker should choose Hindi as a common language reflected this”, he said.
Mr. Rahim said that it was part of the RSS concept of considering caste as the body of our republic.
