Last chance to pre-order Liverpool FC's new red home shirt for the 2022/23 season

Liverpool FC's new home kit for the 2022/23 season was unveiled last week, with pre-orders immediately made available on both the official online LFC store as well as manufacturer Nike's website.

Tomorrow, May 19, the shirt will be officially available with pre-orders made online today likely to be delivered to your doorstep by Friday, May 20. Full delivery details from the Liverpool FC official online store can be found here.

It is also noted that orders with personalisation's, i.e. player names and numbers and so forth, can take up to five days. Most comments on Liverpool's new kit for the 2022/23 season have been on its simplistic design.

The clean and classic kit is the third effort since Nike took over from New Balance ahead of the 2020/21 season. The Reds' deal with Nike is said to be worth an estimated £70m a year with a standard £30m a year base rate and the rest made up from the negotiated 20% the club now takes from merchandising royalties.

Nike's latest effort is sustainably made with both the official "on-pitch" jersey, as well as all replicas, made from 100% recycled polyester fabric - a material made from recycled plastic bottles.

Along with the usual Nike tick and club badge emblem, this will also be the first Liverpool kit to feature the number '97' in the middle of two Eternal Flames. Earlier this calendar year, fan Andrew Devine became the latest to lose his life as a direct result of the unlawful killings in 1989's Hillsborough disaster.

Today, May 18, has also seen the official release of Liverpool's new lilac goalkeeper kit for the 2022/23. The jersey, modelled by Liverpool's #1 Alisson Becker, went down well with fans on social media when the press images were released at the same time as the red 22/23 home shirt.

Both the red home shirt and the lilac goalkeeper shirt can be found and bought on Liverpool's official online store and the Nike website.
