CHANDIGARH: With the war of words intensifying between BJP leaders Munish Grover and Arvind Sharma over the government reportedly cancelling the lease of land given to Gaur Brahmin Educational Trust in Pahrawar village of Rohtak district, the Haryana government has finally stepped in to settle the issue.
Grover is a former Haryana minister, while Sharma is the Rohtak MP. "(The) government has adopted a humane approach over this issue and the best amicable solution is in store," said a senior CMO official. The official, however, denied if there was any kind of intentional delay or cancellation of lease allotted to the institution.
"The issue has been made out of a non-issue and has unnecessarily been given political colour by political leaders. According to our records, on April 18, the trust had written to urban local bodies department for the reallotment of land as they would clear the arrears accrued between 2014 and 2022. The government is seriously considering this proposal and is about to take the final call now," the official said.
