Lanark Amateur Swimming Club took an amazing 25 medals home from the West District Dual Pool age group meet at Tollcross International Swimming Centre in Glasgow last week.
Events were divided into distance meets (400m and up) and time-banded races in all four strokes and individual medley.
The Tollcross pool was divided into 10 lane 25m pools and different events were run in the two pools at the same time.
Lanark’s gold medallists were Imogen Siebers, Caitlyn Hamilton (4), Evi Mackie, Ross Carswell (2), Ian Henderson (2) and Benji Jones (3).
Silver and bronze went to Roisin McLaughlin (3), Katie Towers, Jamie McConkey, Craig Shaw (2) and Douglas Ormrod (2).
Thrilled Lanark swimming coach Karen Kelly said: “This was the first dual pool meet the club has ever attended and the first the West District has run.
“There were a few hiccups on the Saturday, but things ran smoothly on the Sunday.
“A total of 26 Lanark swimmers posted 65 personal best times, and the competition gave some of our swimmers the chance to compete at Tollcross International Swimming Centre for the first time.”
