Nottingham Forest reportedly have Real Betis star William Carvalho at the top of their four-man list to strengthen their midfield, according to reports.
The former Sporting Lisbon man joined Betis in 2018 and has entered the final year of his current deal. The Daily Mail report that the Spanish side is ready to offload their player with Carvalho said to favour a move.
Carvalho was also left out of Manuel Pellegrini's pre-season squad as they travelled to England. So far Steve Cooper has made 12 additions this summer, with Jesse Lingard and Orel Mangala in midfield, but the Welshman is keen to add further depth to his squad.

Forest have other options including Anton Stach and Ibrahim Sangare who are also thought to be on their wishlist. Stach made 33 outings for Mainz since his switch last summer while PSV star Sangare made 48 outings in all competitions, scoring four goals.
Talks for Alex Moreno are still ongoing over a potential deal, and Burnley's Maxwel Cornet also remains on the Reds' radar.
