Vancouver Canucks forward Conor Garland may think twice about dropping gloves with Seattle Kraken forward Brandon “Turbo” Tanev in the future.
The pair got into it during Thursday’s game, dropping their gloves for a quick melee during the second period. Things didn’t go to plan for Garland, as he was quickly put onto the ice after a barrage of haymakers from Tanev.
Tanev wasted no time getting to business in their fight, launching a multitude of relentless uppercuts into the face of Garland. The Canucks’ winger attempted to throw a punch back but was quickly overwhelmed and dropped to the ice before referees intervened.

It seemed as if Garland was the one to instigate the fight, as he appeared to utter something to Tanev while he skated past during his first shift of the second period. Turbo took exception to whatever remarks were made, resulting in the pair dropping their mitts.
The first punch Garland landed would ultimately be his last, as Tanev never relented until they were separated by officials.
The home crowd loved the action, as fans at the Climate Pledge Arena were off their feet and loudly cheering throughout the skirmish and were clearly pleased to see Tanev skate off as the victor.
