Habitat 'destroyed' as officials sit on koala plan

Hectares of koala habitat have been logged near a promised national park to protect the iconic marsupials, in what advocates have described as a major environmental failure.

"Unacceptable" tree-felling has been taking place in areas being assessed for the planned Great Koala National Park in northern NSW, according to the multiple conservation groups behind a report into logging in the region.
