King Charles left royal fans cackling with his hilarious response after he was asked out for a beer by a 36-year-old member of the crowd.
The new monarch was shown to have a witty side, much like his late mother, Queen Elizabeth, as he replied to the senior e-commerce specialist from Birmingham.
Taking to Twitter to share the moment, Daniel Walker said he shouted to King Charles saying: "Charles, do you want to go for a beer?"
His Majesty then replied: "What?" and as the question was repeated, his eyes lit up as he asked: "Where?"
The entire crows, including Charles himself, erupted into laughter as he pointed back to Daniel, saying: "You'll have to recommend somewhere."
Daniel said he believes the new King will make a great leader and the dun memory is one he will hold dear forever.
He said: "It's something I could talk about for the rest of my life.
"I think he's going to be a good leader, as growing up, a lot of people I know benefited from the Prince's Trust, and after this stunt, it's made me recognise all the hard work he's done.
"I had only finished work and was walking to meet my mates for a drink, where I was minding my own business – until I suddenly saw him.
"I thought, if I'm going for a pint, perhaps I'll ask if he wants one as well.
"I think he thought he was getting heckled at first, as I was shouting his name, and I'm quite tall, so the initial response was slightly rude.
"But after I repeated myself, I couldn't believe it as I didn't think he would respond to me."
Daniel claims King Charles' security began laughing and proceeded to ask for him to wait, as the royal wanted to meet him.
He said: "I got to meet him after and shake his hand. He was about to walk off but then saw me and put his hand out before asking what I did as a job.
"He commented I was a 'proper Brummie lad' and wished me all the best.
"It's made me like him even more because I saw his human side.
"People don't see all the good things he's done, as they're always looking for the negative – but I've got a lot of respect for him.
"I hope he's still up for that pint, as it'd be unbelievable.
"It can be my treat as well, as a good luck on his new job."
Andrew Gould filmed the clip at the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony on July 28 2022.
After it was shared on TikTok, the popular post racked up 8.5 million views and 700,000 likes.
Users flocked to the comments to share their reactions, with many sharing their own experiences of meeting the King.
One user said: "He has the same sense of humour as his mum."
"Fortunate enough to have met him twice and in private, he's so down to earth and funny," one viewer commented.
Another person added: "Charles response 'what' spoken like a true royal."
"He's winning me over," someone else said.
"He's really funny! Met him when I was 17 and asked if I could marry one of his sons. He said 'take your pick," one user commented, followed by a laughing face emoji.
