UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov has given his prediction ahead for the upcoming grudge fight between Amir Khan and Kell Brook.
Although this is a fight that many feel is past its expiry date, it's undeniable that Khan vs Brook is one of the more hotly-anticipated all-British boxing bouts in recent memory.
Fans have been waiting over 10 years for Khan and Brook to finally face off in the ring and punters will get their wish on Saturday night at Manchester's AO Arena.
They have been considered rivals for years, fighting at similar weight classes and facing the same opponents, but never each other - until now.
It could be the final fight of both Khan and Brook’s careers respectively with both having suffered devastating losses in recent years and now aged 35.
And Nurmagomedov has given his pick on who he believes will win.
He told Sky Sports: "I'm gonna watch. I love boxing, all big fights I watch live. I know [Amir] has a tough opponent, I don't think Amir Khan right now is in his primetime.
"My opinion is it's going to be a close fight, a very close fight. [Amir] can beat him, but I think it's going to be close."
The legendary UFC fighter Nurmagomedov retired from mixed martial arts in 2020 after an undefeated 29-0 record - winning all 13 of his fights in the promotion.
He notably defeated arch rival Conor McGregor in 2018, before going on to defeat Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje before announcing his retirement after the death of his father.
MEN Sport will report live from Manchester Arena on the night and you can follow all the updates from the grudge match on our live blog.
