THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In an apparent move to render the post of chancellor ornamental, the state cabinet on Tuesday decided to bring in a legislation that would undo the powers wielded by the governor in his capacity as the chancellor of state universities.
The move triggered a quick reaction from the governor Arif Mohammed Khan. The government, he said, should reckon that no bill passed in the assembly would become law without the signature of the governor.
