Kendall Jenner's self-care routine now features a very refreshing step for summer and she's not the only celeb loving the chill right now.
When summertime arrives, many of us like to switch up our beauty routines whether it's our makeup—opting for tinted face sunscreens and the best non-comedogenic foundations—or incorporating some cooling steps, like ice globes to our skincare orders. Sometimes though, those sweltering days call for something a little more drastic, as Kendall demonstrated on her Instagram story.
Much like her close pal Hailey Bieber's own summer wellness sitch, Kendall is doing the most to ensure her body is healthy and most importantly, cool this sunny season—here's a look into what her regime entails...
Kendall Jenner's self-care routine for summer
Taking to her IG, Kendall shared on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, that she's a fan of ice baths.
The model (who is thought to be dating Bad Bunny) shared a video of herself taking a cold plunge, writing: "First cold plunge bath in a while, now that it's hot again, I'm back in my routine. Feels so good."
Cold water therapy, is used for and associated with improving circulation, easing aching muscles and soothing inflammation in the body (as per Healthline), hence why it's often used by athletes. It can also, of course, cool the body's temperature. PSA, if you want to try cold water therapy, be sure to consult a doctor or medical experts first, as there are some potential risks involved.
Interestingly, Kendall isn't the only one to incorporate it into her routine. Hailey Bieber has also shared a number of videos in recent months, showing herself submerging into an ice bath. And, with Hailey's famously radiant skin, we reckon these two are onto something.
@haileybieber back with another cold plunge series. cold plunging has helped me a lot with anxiety and overall mood. 💙

If you're intrigued by Kendall's icy plunge but it's not accessible to you (we're pretty confident a regular, spa-like ice bath doesn't come cheap), there are some easy alternatives that you can incorporate into your own daily regime. A cold shower, for instance, especially after a workout or day spent in the heat, is a great swap for a literal cold plunge—or even a refreshing dip in the ocean...
MIL's guide to incoprating cooling steps into your beauty arsenal
As mentioned, ice baths and the like, aren't always feasible or accessible but there are other ways to give your skin some cool relief from the heat.
You can take cold showers, wash your face with icy water, or add a few cryotherapy tools or cooling products (like the above Skin Proud Frozen Over, gel to-ice moisturize—yes, you can put it in the freezer!) into your skincare regime.
