Karnataka: Family lands in trouble for cremating youth

Jagadish Police Suicide Magadi Ramanagara

BENGALURU: Magadi police registered a criminal case against the family members of a youth who allegedly died by suicide on June 19 at Kallarepalya village near Ramanagara. Reason: The family went ahead with his cremation without informing police about the incident.

According to a senior officer, informing police about unnatural deaths is a must and is important to avoid legal hurdles in future. The family and relatives of anyone dying unnaturally should inform jurisdictional police about the same.
