Kalif Raymond earns 2nd-team All-Pro honors at PR, 2 Lions OL just miss out

The 2022 NFL All-Pro team, chosen by AP voters, was announced on Friday. As with the NFLPA version of the All-Pro list, no Detroit Lions players earned spots on the first team. Punt returner Kalif Raymond did earn a spot on the second team for his great season returning punts, the only Lions player to make that level of honor.

However, the AP releases the vote totals from the 50 voters at each position. That allows us to see who came close to making it. In that aspect, two other Lions were the first runner-ups at their respective positions.

Center Frank Ragnow and right tackle Penei Sewell each received the most voting points of players at their spots who didn’t make the first or second teams. First-place votes earn three points, while second-place votes count for one. Here is the OL voting, courtesy Rob Maaddi:

Only two other Lions players received any votes. Amon-Ra St. Brown finished seventh in wide receiver voting. Linebacker Josh Woods received one vote for special teams.
