Justin Fields can do it all on the football field, and he’s already looking forward to next season.
While his Bears team posted just 3 wins in 2022, the versatile QB can dominate a game with his arm… and his legs.
USA TODAY Sports’ Mackenzie Salmon recently caught up with the 2021 first round pick, on Radio Row, and asked him about the importance of QB’s being mobile.
Fields, who rushed for a league record 178 yards during week 9 against Miami, said, “Your offensive line is not going to be perfect every single play, so it’s always better that you have a guy that can extend the play.”
But while Fields is an excellent runner, he understands that that skill leaves him vulnerable for a big hit.
“My mindset – every time I run, is to protect myself,” said Fields.
Check out Mackenzie’s entire interview, which includes his strategy on blocking trolls, and which receiver he’d like to add to his squad.
