Jurgen Klopp is not worried about his future as Liverpool manager despite the club's disappointing start in the Champions League.
The Reds have underwhelmed in the league, winning just two of their first six matches, and there was a chance to put all that to one side in Europe with a trip to Napoli. Things didn't go to plan, though, with Klopp's team endured a nightmare evening in Italy, losing 4-1 to leave themselves with an uphill struggle in the remaining group games.
With Chelsea opting to sack their own manager Thomas Tuchel earlier in the day after losing their European opener in Croatia, the future of the Liverpool boss was the topic of conversation. However, Klopp made it clear he is not concerned despite the result at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
"Not really," Klopp said when asked whether he was worried about being sacked. "Our owners are rather calm and expect me to sort the situation and not think someone else will."
It was only in April that Klopp signed his most recent contract extension at Anfield. The new deal will keep him at Liverpool until 2026, and was agreed during last season's run-in as the Reds pursued four trophies at the same time.
In the end, they won only two of those, having won the League Cup before Klopp signed his extension before adding the FA Cup with a win in the final against Chelsea. They fell just short in the league, with Manchester City's final-day comeback keeping the title at the Etihad Stadium, while Real Madrid got the better of Klopp's men in the Champions League final in Paris.

Liverpool were behind against Napoli inside five minutes, with Piotr Zielinski converting from the penalty spot. Victor Osimhen failed to put away a second spot-kick, but Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Gio Simeone ensured Luciano Spalletti's host were three goals to the good at half-time.
A second from Zielinski made it four early in the second half, with Luis Diaz pulling one back for the Premier League side. The consolation ensured Liverpool aren't bottom of the group, with Rangers having lost 4-0 to Ajax earlier in the evening, but next week's game against the Dutch champions now looks a lot more important.
"It looks like we have to reinvent ourselves," Klopp said after the defeat. "There is a lot of things lacking, the fun part is that we have to do it in the middle of a Premier League and Champions League season.
"We have Wolves on Saturday and if they saw the game tonight, they cannot stop laughing, they would say - and I would too - it is the perfect moment to play them. We have to set up better in pretty much everything."
