Josip Juranovic would command a fee over £30million if he was two years younger.
That's the verdict of former Celtic midfielder and Open Goal Broomhill boss Si Ferry. The podcast king believes only his age will go against the Hoops receiving over £20m due to the lack of a sell-on potential for interested parties. The full-back is just back fresh off the World Cup with Croatia having impressed on the biggest stage.
Pundits and fans raved about his performance in the quarter-final win over Brazil while he's also played at the top level for his club this season in the Champions League. He's won the Scottish Premiership and a domestic cup in his 18 months under Ange Postecoglou but with the likes of Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and clubs in the English Premier League said to be keen on a move next month, it looks increasingly likely he will be sold with right-back Alistair Johnston already recruited ahead of the window opening on January 1.

Speaking to Grosvenor Sport, the Open Goal favourite said: "Josip Juranovic should maybe be going for a bit more than £20m in today's market but then you look at his age and wonder whether teams will want to be paying more when this will probably be his last move and there won't be a buy-on again.
"We saw clubs battle for a 22-year-old Kieran Tierney for around £25m, whereas Juranovic is 27-years-old.
"If you pay over £30m, are you going to get that again when he hits 30 or 31-years-old? I don't think so. That, for me, is the only reason why clubs aren't paying over £20m.
"If Juranovic was a 25-year-old, I think we'd be looking at £30million-£35million after the World Cup that he's just had."
