Jo O'Meara has revealed she almost died after agonising sudden health complications while on a 23-hour flight.
The S Club star came close to losing her life six years ago when she jetted off for a break to New Zealand.
Suffering with a strangulated bowl in the middle of the flight, she was rushed to hospital the moment the plane landed.
She says the stress brought on adult acne, which she still suffers with today.
The singer was speaking to Scott McGlynn on his popular Instagram show Celebrity Skin Talk and candidly re-live the terrifying trip.
"Back in 2016 I had a bit of a situation," she told the host. "I got a strangulated bowl on a plane and I had to be rushed into surgery.
"It nearly killed me, to be honest. I was in hospital for a really long time.
"They wouldn't let me fly home because I was so poorly. I then found out a trauma can help bring on adult acne, which I didn't know existed until I had it myself.
"It's so horrible as there is not a thing I could do about it."
On the show, Jo was asked which song she really didn't like recording at first.
Scott quizzed her: "Was there ever a S Club 7 song were you and the band didn't want to do, like Girls Aloud said they didn't want to do Love Machine but its their biggest hit and well known for it?"
Jo replied: "You know what, it was Reach. We all sat in the room and a guy played it on a guitar and we was like oh no, but we did it and it's what we're known for - our biggest hit."
Last month, Jo revealed she once discovered a stalker hiding under her hotel room bed.
The crafty fans said they managed to sneak into the superstar's room after convincing hotel staff that they were related to Jo - insisting they were her cousin.
She was shocked at first, but Jo admitted they were "very nice and accommodating" despite giving her a scare by slipping inside her room.
The singer, 43, hit the spotlight as a member of S Club 7 between 1999 and 2003 before deciding to embark on a solo career.
The songstress also said she still keeps in touch with her old bandmate Rachel Stevens, who competed on this year's series of ITV's Dancing on Ice.
