NAGPUR: The wait started during the home T20 series against Sri Lanka in January this year. The Ireland tour went by, warming the bench in the chilly environs. Finally, the dream was realized in Hangzhou, China.
Jitesh Sharma deservedly earned the India cap in the T20 format at the Asian Games in Hangzhou on Saturday. The attacking wicketkeeper-batsman, hailing from Amravati, became the fourth Vidarbha player to don the Indian colours. Prashant Vaidya, Umesh Yadav and Faiz Fazal are the names Sharma emulated on Saturday.
