Jets spoke with Aaron Rodgers on Monday night; Rodgers ‘open’ to New York

The Jets spoke with Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers on Monday about a move that would send the four-time NFL MVP to New York, according to reports.

Per the reports, nothing is imminent but Rodgers does seem open to playing in New York.

The Jets seem to be starting their push for Rodgers now that Derek Carr is off the board, having reached an agreement with the New Orleans Saints. The latest reports on Rodgers indicate that the Packers gave the Jets permission to speak with him, because that would otherwise be tampering.

The Jets’ lovefest for Rodgers is the NFL’s worst-kept secret. They even told Carr they were waiting for Rodgers. They’re now really starting to act on those feelings.
