The Jets are still interested in free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham. The latest piece was them being able to meet, even if informally, with him in Phoenix at the owners’ meetings Tuesday, per multiple reports.
In fact, media caught Beckham hugging head coach Robert Saleh after their meeting.

Of course, the Jets weren’t the only team Beckham shared pleasantries with. He also caught up with a few other teams that have shown interest in him including, among others, the Giants and the Rams.
Beckham, 30, met with Jets’ brass, including Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas. But “things have to work out” as Saleh alluded to during his media session Monday in regards to Beckham. Things like the contract and his recovery his from the ACL injury he suffered during Super Bowl LVI, over a year ago. He did not play at all during the 2022 season, though there were sparks of interest from teams before the playoffs.
Adding Beckham at the right price would give the Jets one of the more interesting and dynamic wide receiver rooms in the league, joining a group that now includes Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman. Perhaps Beckham and Saleh will be hugging more in the future.
