It's the little touches that make a difference, and this time of year, those moments feel even more impactful than any other time of year. So it was the case when Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch took time after the Real Sociedad match to speak with fans and have his picture taken with the young supporters at Elland Road.
A simple gesture that goes a long way and in terms of a charm offensive, Marsch won that battle with Leeds fans some time ago. The American is an approachable and popular manager with those who meet him, and that effect is felt within his players past and present too as is evident from the latest message from one of his former charges.
Following the hard-fought win at Elland Road, Shaun Wright-Phillips took to Instagram to praise Marsch, in response to the Leeds boss's post about meeting the young fans.

Writing on Instagram, Marsch said: "Cold one last night! Was great to meet and spend time chatting with so many of you. Full focus on our next game back in the Premier League #MOT.
Wright-Phillips, who played for a season under Marsch at New York Red Bulls in the MLS, was quick to reply, saying; Y"our (sic) gonna be young at heart forever! What a guy!"
It's clear from the replies Marsch's time was appreciated. The Leeds boss will hope that Christmas goodwill is still being felt when the Whites return to action in the Premier League on December 28.
Leeds host Premier League champions Manchester City as they return to league action with the first of two games in four days with a trip to Newcastle United to follow on New Year's Eve.
