Jennifer Garner has admitted she treated herself to a lavish party to mark her 50th birthday.
The 13 Going on 30 star revealed the celebrations were so big that she "basically had a wedding for myself".
The beautiful spring party came after the actress decided turning 50 was worthy of a big bash. However, it wasn't something she had originally planed and she confessed she was "so shocked that I was doing it".
The party took place in April and she revealed those in attendance were put to work for the sake of charity.
The Once Upon a Farm co-founder admitted she asked guests to fill 5,000 backpacks each containing enough food to feed a family of four. The generous request was part of the star's on-going support for the Blessings in a Backpack programme.
Speaking to Town & Country about her celebration and charitable gestures which have helped her gain the title as one of the "nice" celebrities, Jennifer said: "I have no reason not to be nice. My life is lovely.
"I'm not always just nice. I can also be salty, and I can be taciturn, or I can be really serious about what I want to get done. It's not that I feel I'm underestimated in that way—I'm not afraid to stand up for myself and say, 'Just so you know, this isn't going to fly with me.' When that happens, I don't want you to be shocked that I'm a real person."
Her "wedding for one" came just months before her ex-husband Ben Affleck tied the knot to new flame Jennifer Lopez.
Jen and Ben share three kids together - Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10.
While the actress wasn't in attendance when Ben and J-Lo said their vows, she has previously been supportive of the couple.
Last Halloween, the trio were snapped together going trick-or-treating with the kids and J-Lo's youngsters, 14-year-old twins Emme and Max.
A source told PEOPLE at the time: "Everyone gets along and the focus is always on the kids. Jennifer, Ben and Jen Garner all wanted the kids to have an amazing Halloween.
"The kids are friends and wanted to go trick-or-treating together. It made sense that they all went together."
