Jeep is going back to 1945 again, but this time the price tag is doing the talking. The 2027 Wrangler JL-2A, the eleventh drop in the brand's yearlong Twelve 4 Twelve series, arrives as a tribute to the original Willys CJ-2A civilian Jeep.
The package costs $4,995 when orders open in October. Jeep says the unique content adds just $115 (about the price of a tank of gas) over a similarly equipped Wrangler Rubicon.

Price, Specs And CJ-2A Tribute Details
The JL-2A sits on the existing Wrangler Rubicon platform, so the hardware underneath is unchanged. Electronic locking front and rear differentials, a sway-bar disconnect and the Rock-Trac HD 4x4 system all carry over, same as the Wrangler's off-road-focused Rubicon trim.
Power still comes from the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, rated at 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. It is the same engine buyers get in any Rubicon-grade Wrangler this year. The JL-2A leaves performance alone and focuses on paint, trim and cabin materials instead.
Exterior cues include 17-inch Joose-painted retro wheels paired with standard 33-inch BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrain tires, body-color fender flares and a three-piece hardtop. Front and rear orange tow hooks and Dark Metallic Grey grille accents round out the look.
Standard equipment adds real value to that $115 gap. A Convenience Group with remote start, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a universal garage door opener joins a front TrailCam with integrated washer. Buyers considering the Wrangler's electrified Recon will find the JL-2A sticks with gas power only.
