Jay-Z declares rape accuser’s case against him is ‘false’

Jay-Z has declared his rape accuser’s admission there were ‘mistakes’ in her allegations against him ‘proves’ her case is ‘false’

Jay-Z has declared his rape accuser’s admission there were “mistakes” in her allegations against him “proves” her case is “false”.

The 55-year-old has been left reeling after the woman lodged a case accusing him and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs of raping her when she was aged 13 in 2000.

After being known only as Jane Doe in her court filing, the Alabama female has come forward to give an interview to NBC News, calling the alleged sexual assault a “catastrophic event”.

But during the chat, she acknowledged three inconsistencies in her account of what allegedly happened the night she says she was raped during an afterparty following the MTV Video Music Awards.

Jay-Z has now said in a statement: “(The) investigative report proves this ‘attorney’ (Tony) Buzbee filed a false complaint against me in the pursuit of money and fame.

“This incident didn’t happen and yet he filed it in court and doubled down in the press. True Justice is coming.

“We fight FROM victory, not FOR victory. This was over before it began. This 1-800 lawyer doesn’t realise it yet, but, soon.”

Jay’s legal team also hit out in a statement issued to Page Six, saying: “It is stunning that a lawyer would not only file such a serious complaint without proper vetting, but would make things worse by further peddling this false story in the press.

“We are asking the Court to dismiss this frivolous case today, and will take up the matter of additional discipline for Mr Buzbee and all the lawyers that filed the complaint.”

Texas-based Mr Buzbee is representing more than 120 men and women who claim Combs, 55, sexually assaulted them.

Jay has also accused the lawyer of filing the lawsuit as a “blackmail attempt”.

During her recent interview, the rapper’s accuser acknowledged three inconsistencies in her account of what allegedly happened the night she says she was raped during an afterparty following the MTV Video Music Awards.

As a result of her chat, Jay-Z’s lawyer Alex Spiro has now requested to expedite the case’s dismissed in a legal document.
