Jamie Evans death: Tributes paid to ‘lovely lad’ who died from single stab wound

  • Twenty-year-old Jamie Evans from Stone has died from a single stab wound after being found following a car crash in Newcastle-under-Lyme on Friday.
  • His family paid tribute to him, describing him as a wonderful son, loving brother and doting uncle whose warmth and sense of humour brought happiness to everyone.
  • Norton-in-Hales Cricket Club also remembered their former player as an exceptionally talented cricketer and a great friend.
  • Staffordshire Police have arrested two men, aged 20 and 22, on suspicion of murder, and a 19-year-old man on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
  • All three suspects remain in police custody for questioning after extra time was granted, and detectives have appealed for information via an online portal.
