James Tavernier has signed a one-year deal with Maccabi Tel Aviv and could make his debut on Monday if he cuts through red tape in time.
The former Rangers captain has already completed his medical and trained with his new team in Israel.
He is now just waiting for work permit arrangements to be finalised and could even be in line to make his debut on Monday night against Hapoel Beer Sheva.

Tavernier will link up again with Kenny Miller, who replaced ex-Celtic boss Ronny Deila as manager and who was a teammate of the 34-year-old during the latter stages of his playing career at Ibrox.
He was a free agent after 11 years at Rangers where he netted 144 goals in 562 games, but left under a cloud following a bust-up with then-Rangers manager Danny Rohl.
His arrival has been hailed as the most high-profile signing in Israeli league history and Maccabi are expected to officially announce his signing this weekend.
