James McCarthy has interest from the MLS with clubs ready to offer a Celtic exit route, according to a report.
The Hoops midfielder has failed to hit the heights in Glasgow since his free transfer in Ange Postecoglou's first season and has found himself down the pecking order with competition for a starting berth in the middle of the park fierce. This season he has featured in just five matches in all competitions and made just 27 appearances in all since his move in 2021.
At the time of his arrival alongside Joe Hart, the 32-year-old put pen to paper on a four-year deal taking him through until 2025. 90min.com state that Houston Dynamo and Colorado Rapids are two of the clubs with a particular interest in snapping up his services.

The Republic of Ireland international stared his career at Hamilton before earning a move south of the border with Wigan Athletic.
His form at the Latics earned a shot at Everton before he joined Crystal Palace.
The future of McCarthy is just one of many Celtic fringe men that will come into focus this summer with the likes of Albian Ajeti, Vasilis Barkas, Liam Scales, Osaze Urhoghide, Ismaila Soro, Mikey Johnston and Adam Montgomery all returning from loans.
