The Miami Dolphins took a big hit and training camp has only just begun.
Star defensive back Jalen Ramsey will miss the start of the regular season. Ramsey, who was acquired from the Los Angeles Rams in the offseason, suffered a knee injury at practice on Thursday.
He was carted off the field and hours later it was learned that Ramsey needs surgery and will be lost at the start of the 2023 campaign.
Ramsey’s ACL is intact but his meniscus is the problem. Doctors will determine what must be done when they perform the procedure.
If it has to be repaired, the six-time Pro Bowler would be out of a much longer period.
Ramsey delivered a message via Twitter:
I’ll be back on that field stronger than ever… in due time! This SO minor for God’s child! I trust fully & know He got me! Im forever grateful to worship His name! I know my brothers gone hold it down until I’m back tho! 🤟🏾🧡🩵
Appreciate the love & support!
