Jack Keating names Love Island girl he was getting close to that we didn't see

Jack Keating has said he was "surprised" that clips of him getting close to one Love Island girl didn't make it into the show.

Jack's time in the villa was cut short after he failed to couple up while in Casa Amor. But the son of pop superstar Ronan Keating told 98fm that he was getting on "very, very well" with Paige Thorne - with her even extending an invite for a night out in Swansea after the show.

Jack Keating said: "It was a crazy, crazy couple of days. I think we had four full days in there and it was literally non-stop. It was the best time ever. Obviously, I didn't find any romantic relationships but friendship-wise. I hope I have made some mates for life."

On his relationship with Paige which we didn't see, Jack said: "Me and Paige got on very, very well. Obviously she is in a relationship with Jacques.

"It looks like it is on the rocks right now, I can't lie. While I was in there and I thought me and Paige got on so, so well. She is such a nice girl and so easy to talk to.

"Obviously it didn't make it into the show which I was a bit surprised by, I can't lie."

He added: "She told me to come for a night out in Swansea so I am sure I will be getting onto her."

Jack also revealed that he didn't tell his mam and dad about going on the show until it was almost time to leave for the villa.

He said: "I actually didn't tell anybody for the first month, I'd say. I didn't tell my dad, I didn't tell my mum. I didn't tell anyone in family until it was close to get going. I was trying to keep it as quiet as possible.

"[Their reaction] was a mix of nerves and excitement, I'd say. This was my first case of doing a reality TV show so they probably didn't know how I was going to react to it. But everybody was buzzing for me."
