Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase turned some heads this week ahead of a showdown with former LSU teammate Justin Jefferson.
Naturally, Chase was asked who was the better NFL wideout and who might be the best in the NFL.
Also naturally, Chase answered as expected.
“I’m always going to put myself first,” Chase said, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. “He’s so quick, he’s so explosive. You watch film and he makes it look so easy. We probably can do the same move, but just because he’s twitchier, and more explosive sometimes on some routes, he just has that look in his routes that just makes defenders fly.”
It’s nothing too wild as far as wide receiver interviews in the NFL go. But it sparked debate and reactions regardless, so here’s a look at those.
He can feel that way all he wants. Doesn’t take away the statistics. If he was best with Franchise QB Burrow he would have broken all of JJ records. He didn’t. Keep dreaming.

They’re definitely not the two best. That would be Jefferson and Hill by a decent margin.

If you asked Justin Jefferson the exact same question, he would give the exact same answer that Chase did!
