This Morning fans wanted to make their feelings heard as they hijacked the show's recent Instagram post with a demand about the hosting line-up.
On Thursday the person behind the ITV daytime show's social media took to Instagram with multiple photos and videos of Vernon Kay during his stints hosting the programme at the end of last year and earlier this year.
The Bolton-born presenter made the famous sofa his home earlier this month as he shared being at the helm of the show alongside Josie Gibson. It wasn't the first time the pair have hosted This Morning together after stepping into the main hosting role briefly before Christmas.
This programme made their social media post as it was Vernon's 48th birthday on April 28. The post read: "Happy birthday to the king of puns and dad dancing, @vernonkay Hope it's an o-KAY one!" the wrote before jokingly adding: "(Someone post a better pun in the comments pls)."
Former All Star Family Fortunes host Vernon was quick to respond to the birthday wishes, writing: "Thank you!!!" with a string of love-heart eye emojis while his wife Tess Daly also commented with red hearts.
Vanessa Feltz replied: "Happy birthday delightful gentleman," while the show's fashion expert Lisa Snowdon said: "Happy Birthday Veron."
But as well as sharing their birthday wishes, fans were making the same comment about Vernon's status on the show. @thompsonrosaleen commented: "Bring this man back with josie!!"
"Happy Birthday @vernonkay hurry up back to @thismorning with tv wifey @josiegibson85 you bring breathe of fresh air to the show lol," @ daisy_maisie_ponies shared.
@diamondfreckle5 wrote: "He needs to be on This Morning more regularly as he bring energy to the show."
"Vernon should be a permanent fixture on This Morning… he’s brilliant like Eammon and Ruth… FACT," @ mayoress.susie replied.
@trisha_lisha55 added: "More veron on this morning please."
Josie and Vernon's big comeback went down well with viewers as they swapped places with Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary during the second week of the Easter holidays as the usual Friday hosts took over for the first week while Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield enjoyed their annual break.
Fans previously claimed that Phillip's job was 'under threat' after Vernon made his debut at the end of last year and it appeared that the former Family Fortunes host enjoyed his second stint in the role. And after Vernon marked the end of his latest week on the show, fans were rushing to tell him how much they wanted him to stay.
