ITV This Morning fans convinced that they heard 'naughty word' during cooking segment

This Morning viewers are convinced they heard a "naughty word" during the cooking segment of Monday's episode.

Guest chef Clodagh McKenna was back in the kitchen yesterday (Monday 11 April) with Vernon Kay and Josie Gibson and was showing how families can make sauces that will go well with any Easter roast dinners.

McKenna, who is known to have let the occasional X-rated word slip while presenting on This Morning before, told Josie and Vernon a tale from when she started cooking, more than 20 years ago.

She had put something in a dishwasher, when a posh homeowner had asked who had put it there.

Clodagh then said: "I was like oh... that was me" and some viewers think they heard her swear. Vernon added: "And obviously we'd like to apologise for your language."

Clodagh asked: "Oh did I say... No, I said shoot". Vernon said: "It doesn't matter what you said" and Clodagh added: "I'm so sorry".

Taking to Twitter, Nice Guy Albi thought Clodagh had said "s***". Slapstick Sally said: "She just said s***, shoot? shoosh?" Selexiak said: "Thousands of people [must have] heard it", while Jamie C also thought she had uttered an expletive.

Others thought otherwise. Emmanuelle M said: "She definitely said 'shoot', it's the accent", while Steve L said: "She said shoot".

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV and the ITV Hub
