A medical expert has explained on This Morning who qualifies for free NHS prescriptions.
Monday's edition of ITV's flagship daytime programme was hosted by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. They were joined by Dr Phillipa Kaya who shared tips on how to stay healthy this winter.
The UK has been hit with a cost of living crisis as people struggle amid soaring inflation rates. Dr Phillipa urged people to check if they qualify for free prescriptions as she explained many are unaware they are eligible.

She said: "It is written on the back of your prescription often whether you are eligible. That is children, everybody over 60, under 18 if you're in full time education.
"If you're pregnant and for the year after you are pregnant. Depending on certain benefits you are on, you may be eligible. "
Dr Phillipa also explained people are eligible if they are suffering with particular health conditions. She added: "For example if you are having cancer treatment. If you are on low thyroid. If you have diabetes.
"Your doctor fills out a form and then you get this exemption. It's online now. You tick the box at the back of the prescription and then you will get that one for free."
