ITV Love Island's Jacques O'Neill QUITS villa after Adam Collard clash and Casa Amor drama

Love Island has confirmed that Jacques O'Neill has quit the ITV2 dating show. The rugby star has had a dramatic week in the villa after deciding to test his relationship with Paige Thorne during Casa Amor.

Jacques was happily coupled up with the Welsh paramedic but decided to see if his feelings for Paige were 'real' when the islanders were separated into two different villas for the ultimate relationship test.

He left viewers furious as he decided to get to know a couple of new girls who entered the main villa. After first chatting to Mollie Salmon, the 23-year-old ended up getting cosy with Cheyanne Kerr. The pair shared a couple of kisses and Jacques hinted that he could possibly pick her in the recoupling.

However, during what was described as one of the best recouplings yet, Jacques chose to remain coupled up with Paige, and he was forced to try and explain his actions after Cheyanna confessed to her shock at Jacques choice, revealing the pair had been getting close much to Paige's anger.

He has since been trying his best to win back Paige, leaving her a note written with lipstick in her bad and writing a lengthy text which he read out to her in Monday night's episode (July 11) which saw Paige give in to her feelings and allow him out of the dog house. But as the boys headed out the villa, a bombshell arrived in the form of former islander Adam Collard.

He quickly set the girls' pulses racing with Danica Taylor describing him as a 'big sexy god.' And a flustered Paige said she is '100 per cent interested' following a rocky time with Jacques. She said in the beach hut: "I've had a difficult time in here. I do not need this in the mix. He's so fit."

And Adam's arrival has rattled Jacques as a teaser clip showed him angrily leaping from his seat to confront Adam. He was riled up after being told by Gemma Owen: "Oh he was proper slagging you off." And in the beach hut he demanded to know: "Who the f*** is he? Just another geezer who's been on the show."

A Love Island spokesperson said of Jacques' exit: "Jacques has made the decision to leave the Villa. He will explain his reasons to the Islanders during tonight’s episode. We fully support his decision and look forward to seeing what’s next for Jacques."

His exit comes just days after a friend encouraged viewers to 'please be kind' after they revealed his diagnosis. As viewers encouraged Paige to leave him, those running Jacques' social media while he's in the villa have had their say. A post was made to his Instagram account which reads: "Ler's recap. Sometimes, people living with ADHA may behave in ways that come off as ruder or disrespectful.

"These behaviors(sic) can stem from challenges with self-control, executive functioning, and self-stimulation actions. How you perceive their behaviour often depends on your understanding of ADHA symptoms. If you start to look at things from their perspective you may see that it's not so rude after all."

A friend penned alongside the screenshot of what appears to be an article: "Jacques was diagnosed with ADHD when he was 9 years old. By not means is this a get out clause for his actions but it is to show that he can fundamentally struggle with his emotions at times."

The message continued: "He is an amazing person who I'm proud to call my friend/little brother. All the hate thrown towards Jacques doesn’t go to him directly….It comes to his loved ones who have always supported him and not just whilst he is on Love Island." The message ended: Love Island, although real. Is still a show where the producers do have control and we see. Please be kind."
