The Love Island journey has come to an end for 2021 winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon as they have announced their split. The pair have been subject to separation rumours for months but they have officially announced the sad news in a statement posted on Instagram.
Taking to the social media platform on Wednesday morning (July 13), Millie said the former couple had made the 'tough' decision to go their separate ways following a year long romance, after winning the ITV2 dating show last year.
Millie and Liam, who have been living together in their own Essex abode, have reportedly called it quits after growing apart in recent months while they both pursued individual work opportunities.

Millie's message shared on Instagram read: "Hi everyone, to avoid any speculation Liam and I wanted to share with you that we have separated. It's been a tough decision and I am gutted but it's ultimately what is best for us right now."
She went on to thank the pairs fans and followers for their support. The 25-year-old penned: "Thank you to every single one of you for supporting our relationship. Nothing will ever take away from the amazing experience we shared in Love Island and the past year and I wish Liam all the best in everything he does."
The statement ended: "We're both ready for new chapters and I'm excited for what's next. Love, Millie." Liam also shared a similar statement it which he said he was "honestly so gutted". "Nothing will ever take away from the amazing experience we shared in Love Island," he echoed.
"We both will continue to be friends and I will remain Millie's biggest supporter in all that she does and I know she will do amazing. We're both ready for new chapters and I'm excited for what's next." Liam ended his post: "Again I just want to Thankyou all for supporting us on what's been an incredible journey."
After winning Love Island together last August, Millie and Liam moved in together. The couple scooped and split the 50K prize fund after viewers voted them as winners despite the pair looking close to splitting during the show's annual Casa Amor twist.
