ITV Good Morning Britain viewers beg programme to 'stop' as they 'turn off'

Not all Good Morning Britain viewers were impressed at the latest edition of the show. The ITV news programme was back for the last episode of the week on Friday (June 17).

Kate Garraway was back fronting the show alongside Adil Ray, who appears to be stepping in for Ben Shephard who is usually seen hosting Thursday and Friday's GMB. Of course, one of the big topics of conversation was the weather as parts of the UK are set to experience the hottest day of the year so far.

However, viewers were quick to point out that the scorching weather doesn't apply to all parts of the UK. But it wasn't just that topic which got them flocking to social media.

As ever, Richard Arnold was on hand to bring those tuning in the latest entertainment news. Again, it was dominated by the latest Love Island antics as the drama begins in the Mallorcan villa.

He spoke about the latest love triangle to be forming on the ITV2 dating show as Ekin-Su Culculoglu made a move on bombshell Jay Younger while coupled up with Davide Sanclimenti.

The pair shared not one but two secret trysts on the terrace while the rest of the Islanders wondered where the pair had got to. It wasn't until later that Turkish actress Ekin-Su confessed to her and investment analyst Jay's kiss to Paige Thorne and Gemma Owen.

Elsewhere in the villa, model and rapper Remi Lambert, from Manchester, began to make a move towards Indiyah Polack and Amber Beckford. Remi approached Indiyah for a chat before her partner Ikenna Ekwonna swooped in to interrupt the conversation.

Speaking in private away from Remi, Ikenna asked Indiyah: “Are you happy with how things are going?… You should know you are all in though, I will tell you straight, all the time, I am very real.” Remi later turned his attention to Amber – who is in a couple with Dami Hope – and asked how things were going between her and her partner.

Amber replied: “I thought it was going good, I don’t know if it’s because you guys have come in or just we’ve got to this little hurdle, he’s obviously asked about you guys.” Remi then suggested to Amber that the girls in the villa should “make moves,” to avoid coming across as “shy”.

As Richard gave a quick run through of all the latest goings-on, GMB viewers flocked to Twitter to share their disapproval. @shadyadi72 begged: "@GMB seriously if the love island updates are going to be a part of the show I’m gonna be switching over please stop!!"

@debbiedotmac echoed: "Please @GMB can we just stop with the torture of @LoveIsland it’s dreadful and now I have turned over!!!" @RichardHodge6 tweeted: "@GMB please tell Richard Arnold to stop talking about Love island. Seriously, people who watch your show REALLY aren’t watching it."

@bobbailey6171 fumed: "I can barely stand a couple of minutes of Love Island 'highlights' on @GMB let alone the full hour or whatever it is of this utter garbage on Itv2!"
