Dancing on Ice viewers have made a major call for a ban as they were left fuming over the judges' scores for Mollie Gallagher. The Coronation Street actress was among the remaining contestants to take to the ice during week five of the ITV skating competition.
It was icons week on the Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield-fronted show as the celebrities and their professional skating partners paid tribute to some of music's biggest stars. Former EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer channelled Spice Girls' Geri Horner before becoming the fourth celebrity contestant eliminated from Dancing On Ice.
The 50-year-old former soap star and her professional partner Matt Evers were beaten by comedian Darren Harriott, 34, and skating pro Tippy Packard in the skate-off with all four judges opting to save Darren as they praised his technique. Patsy, who is now a DJ in the US, said: "I’ve met the best people ever and we’ve been like one big family. Everyone on this show (is a) truly beautiful (person)."

Elsewhere in the episode, Nile Wilson came top of the table for a fourth time with the judges, following his success in previous weeks. The former Olympic gymnast, 27, and his partner Olivia Smart received 36 points for his performance to Robbie Williams’ song Let Me Entertain You.
The judges also scored West End star Carley Stenson, who channelled her inner Dusty Springfield, 34 points, the next highest score on Sunday night. Drag queen The Vivienne, who stripped back and performed as James Lee Williams, was given 33.5 points, and TV personality Joey Essex was on 33 points.
And while she may have also broken the 30 points mark with a score of 30.5 from the judges, Dancing on Ice viewers were unimpressed with the scores for Corrie's Mollie after she transformed into American singer Billie Eilish. The 25-year-old, who plays goth Nina Lucas in the ITV soap, undertook judge Christopher Dean’s challenge to perform the frightening headbanger move, becoming the first celeb this series to do so.
The dangerous and difficult move saw Mollie swung by her ankles with her face inches from the ice by her professional partner Sylvain Longchambon. And many flocked to social media to slam the judges' decision to score Mollie a 7.5 for her latest routine. @janinessharon said: "So she literally slays the headbanger, risks her life but 3/4 of the judges think it’s 7.5 worthy. make it make sense dorlin #DancingOnIce."
@shrimpsy291 tweeted: "That score for mollie and syvaine was ridiculous!! Spin and headbanger fgs what’s she got to do to get decent scores #DancingOnIce." @sproutjoons commented: "Uhh mollie should have been getting AT LEAST 8s across the board for that... she skated so well and she did a bloody headbanger!! #DancingOnIce."
Others were calling for a ban. @Criticalpete1 tweeted: "Ban the head banger. Only time before someone smashes their head for entertainment. #DancingOnIce." @HiftleJanice echoed: "#DancingOnIce I absolutely hate the headbanger. It should be banned. Just too dangerous and not necessary." @Kittycatkirby added: "@dancingonice I am shocked the headbanger hasn’t been banned yet. I absolutely hate it. It’s an ugly & dangerous move."
