ITV Coronation Street's Jack James Ryan joins co-stars showing off their autumnal looks after being 'gutted' over exit

Coronation Street star Jack James Ryan smiled for the cameras as he joined his co-stars for a music and dance-filled evening out in Manchester. The actor, who plays Jacob Hay in the ITV soap, headed out to the Palace Theatre on Tuesday night (September 27).

He was among the soap's cast, past and present, and other stars who headed to the press night for Saturday Night Fever, the musical version of the hit movie which catapulted John Travolta to fame, which runs at the venue until Saturday.

Jack James posed for the cameras on the blue carpet outside the iconic venue. He could be seen getting ready for the cooler nights, donning a chunky black knit jumper with white detailing over a pair of smart black trousers. He finished the look with a pair of dark suede shoes and a wide smile for the waiting photographers.

Also attending the musical's latest performance was Millie Gibson who was seen saying farewell to the famous cobbles last week as Kelly Neelan. The 18-year-old, from Broadbottom, showed off another of her autumnal looks after getting into the spirit earlier this month.

The former soap star looked stunning in a white knitted roll-neck dress which just skipped her thighs as she posed for the awaiting cameras. With the weather getting cooler, the teen added a tan leather belted coat to her look. Millie added a pair of matching tan-coloured knee-high boots and clung to a black bag for her essentials.

And it appears she's gone for a bit of a chop as she showed off her shorter blonde locks for the occasion. She also didn't do the whole blue carpet on her own, however, as she was joined by fellow former Corrie star Kimberly Hart-Simpson, who played Nicky Wheatley in the ITV soap.

Kimberley also looked gorgeous as she changed up her look for the changing weather, donning a high-neck green dress under a cream coat, and adding a pair of long black boots to complete her outfit.

Meanwhile, Harriet Bibby, who stars in Corrie as Summer Spellman also dazzled the waiting photographers with a smile as she joined some of her castmates for the show. She was seen wearing her long blonde locks in curled pigtails while she also got the seasonal memo.

The 25-year-old soap star donned a white roll-neck jumper under a black leather jacket which she teamed with a tartan skirt and black lace-up boots. She also threw a quilted black bag around her shoulders.

Back to Jack James and his appearance on the blue carpet came after he shared how 'gutted' he was over his co-star's exit. Earlier this week Corrie viewers were left gobsmacked when Stephen Reid killed Leo Thompkins after he uncovered some of his plans to steal money from his mother, Audrey Roberts.

As Stephen followed Leo onto the Underworld factory gantry, Leo taunted him, threatening to call Audrey. Seeing red, Stephen lunged at Leo and the pair got into a scuffle over his mobile. But it wasn't long before Stephen sent Leo plunging over the railings with the victim landing in the commercial bin below.

Following the scenes, Jack James tweeted: "Brilliant episode of #Corrie tonight, quality stuff from @matthiltondir. Gutted to see @Joe_Frost1 go, he’s an absolute class act and a total gent." He then added: "We were totally deprived of Jacob & Leo content. See you on the next one brother! RIP Leo."

Joe Frost played Leo in the ITV soap (ITV)

Responding to the tweet, Joe Frost, who played Leo, replied: "We'll find our spin-off in the next life pal. Here's to the rise of Jacob Hay." Joe had initially only given a one-word response to his exit, writing 'ouch' alongside a video of his character's fall. However, he has since had more to say.

Posting a mirror selfie of himself in the Corrie dressing room wearing one of ITV's big blue puffa jackets, Joe typed: "Oooft. What a ride… Six weeks that turned into a hell of a year. A dream come true for a lad from the North West." He then added: "Can’t thank the whole team at @itvcorrie enough for letting me add my footprints to the cobbles. (This one was for you Gran…) Now how’s that sinkhole looking?"
