Georgia May Foote has been supported as she shared details of her health condition.
The 32-year-old is renowned for her performance as Katy Armstrong on Coronation Street. She quit the Cobbles in 2015 and regularly keeps fans up to date with her personal life on Instagram.
The soap star is currently planning her wedding to musician boyfriend, Kris Evans. However, she has taken time out of her preparations to share her experiences of coming to terms with her vitiligo diagnosis.

The NHS describes vitiligo as a "long-term condition where pale white patches develop on the skin. It adds that it's "caused by the lack of melanin, which is the pigment in skin." Georgia shared an image of her hand with her 534,000 Instagram followers.
She took to the social media platform to mark World Vitiligo Day, which was observed on Sunday. The soap star explained how the condition has had a massive impact on her mental health.
She added: "Please believe me when I say this has been a huge struggle for me to come to terms with. On the surface I’m ok. Deep down I have never felt so insecure. But I try to push past this every day and see it as something beautiful and unique."
She explained it has been difficult to come to terms with as she added: "All I know is this is now me. And this has been a very hard condition to process.
"I will be the girl who refuses to cover it up so that you can feel more confident with yours. And I promise to always be a voice for those going through the same for as long as my platform means anything. You are beautiful and you are unique "
Georgia's Corrie co-stars took to the comments to send messages of support after the update. Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria Windass, said: "You are beautiful no matter what"
