The CEO of ITV called Domino's over the company's tweet about Holly and Phil after they were accused of jumping the queue to see the Queen lying in state.
Earlier this month, the This Morning hosts were accused of 'queue-jumping' the line to see Queen Elizabeth II and to pay their respects in Westminster Hall after videos of the two began circulating online. As a result, the television duo were targeted on social media over these claims, with people poking fun at the situation, including Domino's Pizza.
The well-known brand tweeted: "Apologies to anyone waiting on their pizza, we've just received an order from Holly and Phil #ThisMorning."

While some social media users might have found the dig at Holly and Phil comical, the CEO of ITV, Carolyn McCall, did not.

Speaking at the Royal Television Society convention in London, Dame Carolyn McCall spoke of how she complained to Domino's Pizza after discovering the tweet. She said: "We just said to them, 'What are you doing?' because we work with Domino's and they said, 'We think it is really funny, don't you?'
"They just thought that was funny. They didn't think of the impact that would have on how people would pick it up and start meme-ing it.”
Despite the rumours and memes, ITV, Holly, and Phil have denied the accusations of 'queue jumping' argue that they were given access to the press line at the Queen's lying in state to film for This Morning.
Dame Carolyn said: "They did have accreditation. Lots of people saying they didn't. They were sent by This Morning to do a piece for 20 September which ran.
"They were to interview people inside and outside. They didn't displace anyone in the queue. And they've been very misrepresented, actually.”
Despite the allegations and online petitions to have the pair removed from the television show, ITV have confirmed that they will not be fired.
Dame Carolyn added: "I think they're highly relevant and still very topical, and I think the majority of their viewers love watching them.
"But there is a very shrill kind of voice against and it will hurt them."
