Roberto Firmino admitted he is 'very proud' of what he achieved during his eight years as a Liverpool player.
Ever since signing for the Reds during the summer window of 2015, the Brazilian forward has been a player adored by supporters due to his flair and selfless nature.
A major part in the club's revival under Jurgen Klopp, Firmino played a central role as Liverpool ended their 30-year wait for a league title and sixth European Cup triumph. It goes without saying he will be missed next campaign as Klopp prepares to lead a new-look team to attack the 2023/24 campaign.

Although unable to help the Reds to three points on his final home appearance, Firmino capped off his time on Merseyside with a goal in front of the Kop to rescue a point against Aston Villa. Reflecting on this special farewell moment, he told liverpoolfc.com: “Yes, unfortunately we didn’t get the win, it wasn’t the result that you want. But the last game at home with the fans, my family here, everyone, friends, I was very emotional and happy for this, to score my last goal at home. With this shirt, this big club, I’m very happy.”
Offering a final assessment on how he views his Liverpool career, the 31-year-old added: "In the beginning when I arrived it was hard to adapt to the climate, the football, everything. As for every player, it’s the same. But thank you God, we achieved everything here, we won everything together. Without my teammates, my family, the manager, you cannot do this. I’m very proud of the history, for everything we achieved together.”
