Newcastle United have finalised a deal to sign Australia sensation Garang Kuol in January.
The 18-year-old will join from Australian A-League side Central Coast Mariners having only made his A-League debut back in April. However, he wasted little time in making an impression, having an immediate impact and nabbing four goals in his first seven matches - all as a substitute. He was also selected as part of the 2022 A-League All Stars team that took on Barcelona in front of over 70,000 spectators in Sydney earlier this year.
Last week Egyptian-born Kuol made his international debut for the Socceroos against New Zealand. In doing so, he became the youngest player to represent Australia since former Leeds and Liverpool star Harry Kewell, back in 1996.
