All roads in Chennai lead to the ARR Film City, this evening. A R Rahman's daughter Khatija Rahman who tied the knot about ten days back is having her wedding reception there. Many Bollywood bigwigs have flown out of Mumbai to bless the couple.
Boney Kapoor who has a very close connection with Rahman has been there since a few days. Oh naturally, he's going to be there- and mind you, till the very end.
Khatija Rahman got married to audio engineer Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamad. Khatija, who is quite a private person, had taken to social media to make the announcement. Sharing a picture of her and her husband, she said, “The most awaited day in my life. Married to my man.”
Post that, AR (as he is fondly called) put out a family picture on Insta, saying, "May the Almighty bless the couple... thanking you for your good wishes and love."
The engagement had happened in January, this year. The wedding was a very simple and intimate affair. But you can bet! Aaj bahut shor, gul aur masti hone wali hai. Woh kehte hain na, they all let their hair down!
