Reports from the Israeli military and journalists in Gaza indicate extensive strikes carried out overnight in various parts of the territory. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that they targeted 25 terror sites across the Gaza Strip, including military infrastructure, observation posts, terrorists, and launch posts.
The IDF's fighter jets conducted multiple airstrikes on Hamas launch posts in southern Gaza, preventing any potential launches towards Israeli territory. Additionally, in central Gaza, the IDF used sniper fire to eliminate a number of terrorists. An aircraft also targeted terrorists near a civilian shelter in the Bureij area of central Gaza.
According to a journalist based in Gaza City, Israeli tank and artillery fire persisted in neighborhoods such as Zeitoun, Shuja'iya, and Tuffah throughout the night. An Israeli airstrike hit an area near Wadi Gaza in central Gaza, while two more airstrikes were directed at the Bureij refugee camp. Furthermore, Israeli artillery shelling was reported in the city of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Israeli officials in Sderot, near the Gaza border, reported a rocket causing a fire at a warehouse due to shrapnel. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported in the incident.
