Waking up to find semen in your underwear can be embarrassing, especially if you are not sure why it happened. Many men immediately worry that they are losing too much semen or that something is wrong with their sexual health. But semen leakage is not automatically a sign of weakness, disease or low fertility. Nocturnal emissions, commonly called wet dreams, are a normal part of sexual development and can happen without conscious control.
The real question is not simply, “Why is semen coming out?” It is how, when and with what other symptoms it happens. That difference can tell you when there is nothing to worry about and when a doctor should check it.
