A number of TV programmes have seen their time slots changed following a shake-up on many channels in wake of Queen Elizabeth II's passing. Amongst the show's being postponed for special news coverage were long-running ITV soaps Emmerdale and Coronation Street.
As the serial dramas are usually a regular feature on the weeknight TV schedule, it has meant a backlog of episodes. Emmerdale aired an hour-long episode on Sunday (September 11), which was originally planned for September 8 and the September 9 hour-long episode was rescheduled and split into two half hour instalments airing on Tuesday and Wednesday (September 13 and 14).
ITV's Thursday, September 15 schedule will include an extra episode so viewers can catch-up on postponed editions. Here are all the details on when the Yorkshire soap will be on our television screens tonight:
Is Emmerdale on TV tonight?
ITV will be providing the latest drama from the Dales on Thursday, September 15 from 7.30pm. Usually Emmerdale airs for an hour on Thursday nights but an extra episode will be added tonight - meaning fans will have an hour and a half worth of viewing from the village.
A triple-bill will be broadcasting, with the second episode starting at 8pm and the third from 8.30pm. The three instalments, which will all air on ITV and be available to stream on ITV Hub, will be episodes originally due to air from September 12 to 14.
Emmerdale usually airs weeknights on ITV and ITV Hub from 7.30pm.
