According to Downdetector, more than 36,000 users reported DoorDash issues by around 10:20 a.m. ET on Tuesday, June 16. The biggest wave of outage reports started at approximately 9:30 a.m. ET, as per a report by USA Today and Parade.
Why are DoorDash users reporting problems?
The majority of complaints were linked to the DoorDash mobile app. Downdetector data showed that around 73% of reported issues involved problems with the app.
Users in several major cities appeared to be among the most affected. Reports came from locations including New York, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, and Los Angeles.
The sudden wave of complaints led many customers to question whether DoorDash was experiencing a nationwide outage.
How did DoorDash respond to the outage?
DoorDash acknowledged the problem Tuesday morning and confirmed that its team was working to fix the issue.
In a post shared on X shortly after 10 a.m. ET, DoorDash Help addressed the situation, saying, “We’re aware of an issue affecting our platform and are working urgently to resolve it. We thank our users for their patience and understanding, and apologize for any inconvenience.”
The company said additional updates would continue through the DoorDash Help account.
