Iris Capital's Gap View Hotel bottle shop penalised for failing to use Banned Drinkers Register scanner

Sydney-based hospitality giant Iris Capital has faced disciplinary action in the Northern Territory for breaching the Liquor Act, after acquiring several licensed venues in Alice Springs in 2022.

Northern Territory's Liquor Commission has ordered the Gap View Hotel's Sip n Save bottle shop to cease trading temporarily for a day this Saturday, after upholding a complaint against the owner for failing to use the Banned Drinkers Register (BDR) scanner on 189 occasions in a single day.
