Gavin Bazunu 7 - Nothing he could do about the goal but saved well to deny Diaby and Rabiot
Nathan Collins 8 - Big, commanding performance and almost scored a headed equaliser at the death.
John Egan 7 - Dependable as ever at the back and did a solid job keeping Giroud under wraps.
Dara O’Shea 7 - Caught in two minds whether to close Pavard for the goal but Diaby tackle was vital.
Seamus Coleman 8 - A top notch captain’s display after climbing off the treatment table to play.
Jason Knight 6 - Boundless energy but was caught off guard with Cullen’s pass for the goal.
Josh Cullen 6 - His costly mistake allowed France open the scoring and his frees lacked precision
Jayson Molumby 7 - His energy was off the charts and he broke up French attacks with lung-busting runs.
Matt Doherty 6 - Enjoyed one great run in the first-half, beating three players, but blew hot and cold
Evan Ferguson 6 - Didn’t get the service he would have liked but was still a handful holding up the ball
Chiedozie Ogbene 7 - A nightmare for Hernandez and was always willing to muck out defensively
